Our students receive instruction in core areas and the related arts, including:

  • Language Arts
  • Mathematics
  • Science

  • Physical Education
  • Music (band and choir)

Additional Programs

In addition to our regular curriculum, our students receive unique learning opportunities through the following programs:

  • ALEKS - A blended learning model for all math classes.
  • PLATO - An online high-school credit program.
  • Success period - Homeroom time for extra study, ELA, and math intervention for the ISTEP.

Special Education

The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) requires schools to provide accessible instructional materials (AIM) to students who are blind/low vision, have a physical limitation, or have a diagnosed print disability. As part of Blackford County Schools’ mission to provide quality education to all students, we are pleased to provide resources that will further explain what AIM is and how it can benefit students.
